Connecticut Mass Shooting Debate

The heated debate about gun control has never been stronger as the Connecticut mass shooting took place on December 40, 2012. 20 year old Adam Lanza fatally shot six staff and 20 children in a mass school shooting. Currently many people are saying that the solution to these murders every year, is to bring more guns into the picture, and in my opinion that is the worst idea that i would have ever heard, and we should ban all automatic weapons and control use and purchase of semi-automatic weapons.

One of the main reasons i think that we should not bring in more guns is because this solution will cause more chaos and havoc in a situation of a mass murder, and if not used properly the firearm can fall into the wrong hands. In the debate they argued that the reason we should have more firearms is to protect ourselves and our loved one, and as good as that sounds, it can easily lead to more violence, bloodshed, and even disability since if not used correctly the firearm can harm the user and cause permanent damage.

Now i am going to look at the point of view witch wants to have more and more firearms in our world and believe that is the solution to the gun control problem. My first and most obvious argument is that if we have more firearms on the citizens of America, then we can protect ourselves when there is another situation such as the Connecticut Shooting. My next argument is to allow firearms in areas that normally do not allow firearms, such as movie theatres, shows, clubs, and so on, and then we can protect ourselves from harm.

Now that we know both side of the argument i personally think that most people would choose to ban firearms, however there are people out there who are with the other side of the argument, and want more firearms to protect their loved ones. I myself will always want less firearms in our world, and to have a safe environment to cherish and grow up with, and i hope myself and all of you out there do too.
