Most of you probably know Barack Obama, the president of the United States of America and arguably one of the most popular icons in the world. This video is him at the 2012 democratic national convention.

The main idea of his speech is why you should vote for him/democrats and not roomney/republicans. He wants to fight to restore America and it’s good economy. To restore the economy he will make more jobs, especially manufacturing jobs available and cut taxes to those who need it. He mentions that the cost of goods are rising; however paychecks aren’t, this I don’t agree with because if the prices of goods are rising the paychecks must also. Although I agree that providing more jobs will make a better foundation of the economy. He will encourage use of renewable energy, as a result it is more eco-friendly and create more jobs. Obama has already cut foreign oil by 1 million barrels a day. America will cut usage of oil in half by 2020. He will make sure that in the future there are electric powered cars instead of cars powered by gasoline, which is good since less carbon pollution will be produced, stopping global warming, rising heat and the threat to children. Not only the environment will benefit from electric cars but also people because there will be new jobs in making the electric cars. Obama also wants to help students by making sure every child has an education, he doesn’t want kids unable to go to school due to crumbling classrooms or overcrowded rooms. To do this he will recruit 100,000 teachers in the next ten years. He will also make college tuition cheaper so more families can send their child to college. He will raise the standard of living of the middle and working class, by spreading equality across America, women’s rights and affordable housing. He will help companies produce goods, and give students the skill to do some jobs, so companies won’t have to look overseas for workers because everyone deserves food on the table and a roof over their heads. America will be safer if they vote for him because he will stop terrorist’s attacks, nuclear weapons and pursuit of peace. Obama has already sustained military, killed bin laden fended the Taliban’s, stopped the war in Afghanistan, and Iraq. The republicans hate Russia and insult America’s biggest ally, China. Instead of spending all of the tax money towards military, he will use it to pay off their debt, also to build new roads, bridges and schools. Obama wants to reduce the cost of medic care, instead of elderly people paying thousands for something that they deserve. He is doing this for the people. The citizens give him hope. The republicans just want to have your vote, but they don’t want you to know their plan. Obama’s path might be harder but at least it offers a better future. The road might be longer but the citizens of the United states of America travel together and leave no men behind.
