AL PACINO'S SPEECH

Al Pacino is an American actor and director, and the inspirational speech we watched was a segment from the movie that Al Pacino starred in, called "Any Given Day".  The video we watched was a speech given by the football team coach ( Al Pacino)  to motivate the team to work together, and to rise back to the top.

The most interesting part of the speech in my opinion, was how the speech started sad and slow and started to crescendo and the speech kept on growing and become more and more inspirational. In the most exiting part of the speech, Al Pacino exaggerated the fact that the team needed to gain back there reputation and get back to the top inch by inch, and Al Pacino did this by repeating the idea over and over again. For example, Al Pacino said, "we need to reach for that inch, we need to fight for that inch , and we need to claw for that inch.". Throughout saying these phrases, Al Pacino raised his voice more and more every time, and growing in power with his gestures and tone every time.

I noticed in the speech that Al Pacino compared many things with each other to make his idea of the inch more memorable, and I found it made the speech seem more inspirational and enjoyable for me. Al Pacino compared things like, winning and losing, life and death, hell and light, and these things he said were the differences between that inch.

Al Pacino had strong body posture from the very start of the speech, and I thought it was fascinating how Al was able to look confident at the beginning of the speech even though it was an sad and mournful moment.

Overall I thought the speech was very inspiring and enjoyable for me to watch, and I hope you all feel the same way. I loved the way Al could keep his confident aura in such a saddened moment of the speech, and how he built up the excitement to get everybody pumped with determination. Now...

let us go reach for that inch!
