Obama United Nations Assembly Speech

Obama delivered a speech at the UN assembly almost one month ago.  The speech was mostly on what recent activities the world has seen that need to be changed.  I believe the speech was well written and even better recited.  It was also somewhat well suited for the audience (the representatives of many different nations) but could be better.

While delivering the speech, Obama remained calm and confident.  He pronounced the words with more consistency than the presidential debate (although the debate was impromptu).  This made him seem more confident that what he was saying.  The speech was written well having the points clearly stated and although the purpose of the speech was unclear until after the first few seconds or so.  The speech expressed the purpose of many acts of terror are in vain and that The United States should not be to blame for any of those acts.  A movie called “Innocence of Muslim” sent many Muslims in to outrage because the movie had greatly insulted their religion and their religious beliefs.   Obama clearly stated that the U.S. had nothing to do with the release of the movie.  Other things such as attacks on U.S. embassies were also regarded.  It relieves other nations that the U.S. will take action to such evil acts.  The intro of the speech was somewhat well written. It was very inspiring but could be more to the point. Many countries put much emphasis on the need for efficiency.  These nations would not have enjoyed the intro that did not clearly state the purpose of the speech.  Although in all it was truly well written.

With great public speaking skills, this speech was extremely well written and well said.  Obama is a great speaking to look up to during our classes.
