Leadership Speech... Texas Style

Leadership. When it comes to Leadership you would think of Obama, Lincon, and George Bush. You would not think about someone that comes from the deep depths of the Texas boonies. While giving a leadership speech no matter for what occasion you need to intrigue the audience to your speech, however that may be hard since you are trying to make the audience believe that you are the leader that is right for them. In the video the man giving the speech did a very good job balancing the two.

I loved the fact that he used stories of his past to entertain the audience and to give the the audience a better understanding of his life and in general, his own personality. While telling the story he made the information consistent and not continuing to repeat one part over and over again. His story had kept me interested throughout the speech and i enjoyed it quite a lot. One part that i have noticed is that he links his story to the very end of his speech at the point where he starts being serious, and this means that the man giving the speech knows when its time to stop being funny and start being serious, it also means he can control his humour and he has mastered how to deliver a humorous speech.

I want you all to focus on the mans voice as he is giving the speech, especially in the story. His tones changes very often. He changes his tone to mysterious and calm and then to excitement. This technique is very useful when it comes to leadership speeches because your tone can keep the audience entertained and in the seats. His eyes made tons of contact with the crowd, however he did not make hand gestures to often.

Overall he gave and amazing and hi-laryous speech and i was glad i watched it. He is a great speaker and I hope all you guys out there think so to. The only thing I think that he should try is to make more hand gestures, and he should look down at his paper less.  BOONIES!
